Uglydolls merupakan koleksi daripada designer toys iaitu David Horvath and Sun-Min Kim.It all started when every letter that David Horvath sent to Sun-Min Kim (they were friends that lived in different states.) had a little cartoon of Wage at the bottom of the letter saying "I miss You" next to it. A couple years later they decided to make a doll out of Wage. Then they decided to make more characters. Ugly dolls are so ugly that they are cute. Pertama kali released pada tahun 2002, mempunyai unsur ugly dan tradisional yang digabungkan. Pada tahun 2006, Uglydolls telah dianugerahkan Specialty Toy of the Year award by the Toy Industry of America.
